From the Greek Isles to Balinese Villas, Hilton Gets Even Better with 20 More SLH Properties

Hilton pulled off a major coup last year when it stole Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) away from Hyatt, eventually bringing 400 or so boutique properties around the world under its umbrella. That new partnership was one of the biggest stories in travel in all of 2024 … and it just keeps getting better in 2025.

Just this week, Hilton Honors added another 20-plus SLH properties to its portfolio, all now bookable with Hilton points. The new additions run the gamut from a luxury Parisian hotel in the shadow of the Louvre, beautiful Balinese villas, a pair of Greek resorts on the Mediterranean, and more. This comes after Hilton previously added 11 more SLH properties in December, bringing the recent additions above 30 and Hilton's current grand total to roughly 430 properties.

And it's been a major bright spot for Hilton fans from the get-go. Forget about stuffy, big-box hotels: These are a collection of unique inns, all-inclusive resorts, and downtown properties in great locations with complimentary breakfast. Better yet, this growing SLH portfolio is full of sweet spots to get outsized value when redeeming Hilton points – or Hilton free night certificates from cards like the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card

Just add it to the long list of reasons why travelers would be wise to reconsider whether Hyatt is truly the top dog of hotel chains. At a time when World of Hyatt is getting worse, Hilton just keeps improving.

Here's the full list of the most recent round of additions:

Some Standout New SLH Properties

Let's highlight a few particularly alluring new properties now bookable through Hilton, shall we?

Location is everything for a trip to Paris. And you cannot beat the location of the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal – it's a (*double checks map*) three-minute walk from the Louvre! Whether you head to Paris this spring or even during the peak summer – when nightly rates can easily approach or exceed $1,000 – it'll run you 120,000 Hilton points.

Heading over to Italy, Hilton is bringing in yet another excellent property on the banks of Lake Como: VISTA Palazzo Lago di Como. Located on the south side of Italy's most famous lake, this property clocks in at the maximum 150,000 points per night – a fair price considering the hotel often charges $1,600 or more.

Continuing east to Greece, leave Santorini and Mykonos behind and make a beeline for the isle of Milos. You'll want to for a stay at Domes White Milos, where 120,000 points per night gets you one of those quintessentially Greek, white-washed abodes perched over the Aegean sea … complete with your own private plunge pool.

All the way over in Vietnam, Hoi An is a can't-miss destination. And Namia River Retreat looks like the perfect place to stay: It's a “wellness retreat” located far (but not too far) away from Hoi An's chaotic Old Town – an easy spot to relax with your own villa and pool. Free nights will run you 90,000 Hilton Honors points.

And then down in Bali, Desa Hay caught my eye. It's far from the busy beachside towns of Kuta and Seminyak or famous rainforests of Ubud – and that's exactly where you want to be, in my opinion. Just 80,000 points per night will get you one of these beautiful, private villas.

Bottom Line

Every time we think Hilton has outdone itself with how it handled its new partnership with SLH, it gets even better.

By adding another 20 or so properties (for a grand total of 430 and counting) this week, there are even more excellent hotels and resorts now bookable with Hilton Honors points – and more avenues to get the most bang for your buck with them, too.
